Can I walk all the way down from kunanyi / Mount Wellington to Salamanca?

I would like a scenic descent but am unsure how long and difficult a summit-to-city walk really is.

    Have suitable footwear, layers, water and a clear start and exit plan. A mountain descent can be steep or slippery, and conditions may change while Hobart still feels mild.
