With four Tasmanian days, should I stay around Hobart or add Cradle Mountain?

If Cradle Mountain is the main reason for visiting Tasmania, reduce other stops and stay nearby overnight. Check road conditions and weather before fixing the drive.

Use a full free day for one nature outing near Hobart and another for a city museum or waterfront visit. That gives you both interests without building the trip around transfers.

Keep Hobart as the base if two of the four days are partly committed to work. Cradle Mountain adds substantial driving and deserves more than a brief stop between hotels.
